I am a therapist and board-certified adult and child & adolescent psychiatrist. In addition to my private practice, I am an attending psychiatrist in outpatient psychiatry clinics at both Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Newton-Wellesley Hospital (NWH), and I am a part-time instructor in psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. As part of my clinical work, I practice therapy, including individual therapy with children and teens, college-aged youth, and adults, with medication evaluation and management as needed, as well as couples therapy, family therapy, and parent guidance, with particular focus on parent education and support.

I am the co-executive producer of the short documentary film, “Looking for Luke,” which was produced in collaboration with The MGH Clay Center for Young Healthy Minds in hopes of reducing stigma and educating students and families, in particular Asian American families, about mental health issues. I serve as Associate Director of the MGH Center for Cross-Cultural Student Emotional Wellness, which supports the emotional health of students from diverse cultural backgrounds, and I am co-director of The Resilience Project Parents Program at NWH, which provides education and support to parents of children and teens.

I received my B.A. from the University of Rochester, and my M.D. from the Yale School of Medicine. Following my graduation from medical school, I completed my adult psychiatry residency training at Harvard Longwood, which included clinical rotations at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Massachusetts Mental Health Center, and Boston Children’s Hospital. During my final year of residency, I served as chief resident on the inpatient psychiatry service at Boston Children’s Hospital. Following residency training, I completed my child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at MGH and McLean Hospital.

I have extensive experience treating a range of psychiatric disorders, and supporting individuals, couples, and families through periods of major stress and/or life transition. I see children as young as early school age through college and young adulthood, as well as older adults, couples, and families. In addition to the above, my clinical interests include parent guidance and family-based interventions to address mental health issues, and to help promote resiliency and overall emotional wellness in children, teens, and parents.
